Default Sitemap file is not writable. Please correct the file permissions.
I just installed 4.4.1 and tried to create the XML Sitemap in the Modules section in the admin site.

However, this error came up:

"Sitemap file is not writable. Please correct the file permissions."

I am unsure which file they are referring to. Can anyone please advice?

sitemap.xml in root. Probably permissions prevent the script to create one. Create an empty one and change its permissions
