BCSE Shipping Estimator in 4.3.0 not working
I just downloaded and installed the BCSE free shipping estimator. Everything looks fine, but when I select United States (the default), put in a zip code and click the button, it says "Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with a shipping cost estimate for this order." I'm using real zip codes, and I have my company info defined. In fact, I have no problems getting shipping rates later on in the checkout process, but here I get nothing. I have UPS real-time set up, as well as a few defined shipping methods (for customer pickup and some freight truck options). I am really mystified by this, especially since the mod seems to be pretty standard and well-regarded. Has anyone else run into this problem? Or any guesses as to what I may have missed?

Re: BCSE Shipping Estimator in 4.3.0 not working
I'd start by upgrading to the stable release of 4.3 - which is 4.3.2. Not much worked at all in 4.3.0 as it was essentially a beta.

Re: BCSE Shipping Estimator in 4.3.0 not working
Lo these many months later I have finally upgraded to 4.3.2 and re-installed the mod, but I got the same result. Is there anything else recommended to try?

UPS real-time may require a state.

Re: BCSE Shipping Estimator in 4.3.2 not working
So this mod may require a mod to allow the customer to enter a state as well as the country and zip? If so, do you know how that would be done? Also, I tried a local zip to see if our defined shipping methods (customer pickup, our truck) would kick in, but they didn't. I'm not concerned about that functionality, but does it say anything about the underlying problem? Thanks for any help!

Re: BCSE Shipping Estimator in 4.3.0 not working
Here is some code added to shipping_estimator.php for 4.3 used with Yahoo PlaceFinder that might point you in the right direction:
