Default CCV Error with Authorize.NET CIM Payment method

I am testing with X-cart V4.6.1 one page checkout through their hosted X-Payments module to Authorize.NET sandbox account for the CIM Payment method. It works well until I enable CCV checking in the sandbox account. Orders are being declined with error message "Reason: Card Code is required". I am entering the CCV value "900" to match per the Authorize.NET Error Generation Guide, but it must not be seeing that. I have consulted with X-cart and Authorize.NET who have not come up with a solution. Does anyone else have this problem?

The X-cart store is hosted on a linux server (not X-carts) with Apache v 2.2.26 and PHP V 5.3.27

I've consulted with the developers and they suggested to configure your Authorize.Net account to not require the CCV code for createCustomerProfileTransactionRequest requests as per the discussion at http://community.developer.authorize.net/t5/Integration-and-Testing/CIM-CCV-Code-Required-at-time-of-transaction/td-p/4511

Does this help?

If I switched to the Authorize.NET AIM payment method, would that support checking the CCV entries? We are trying to decide whether it is necessary for customers to be able to use their saved card data, which may be more important from a customer service viewpoint than doing the CCV checks.
