create thumbs from large image

I did all the steps but I am getting this error:

Fatal error: Smarty error: [in product_thumbnail.tpl line 2]: syntax error: unrecognized tag: $type|default:[/img]{/if (Smarty_Compiler.class.php, line 436) in /htdocs/www/shop/Smarty-2.6.12/Smarty.class.php on line 1095

I checked if I uploaded the file into the smarty plugins folder, and it's there.

Is it possible to have the large image automatically sized to x pixels wide when adding a product?

you can edit include/product_modify.php and do some resampling/resizing

Hello

How can i show detailed image in a pop-up not in a new page? I activate Display detailed images in a popup window but still my images are open in a new page; i also change popup_image from D to P in popup_image.tpl but no succes

By nature a "pop up" is a new page. X-cart by default shows all the detail photos in the same pop up window if "Display detailed images in a popup window:" is checked in "Detailed Product Images options".

I couldn't get this particular mod to work at all for version 4.1.6 as the skin1\modules\Detailed_Product_Images\popup_image. tpl appears to be totally different.

I had much better luck with the mod in http://forum.x-cart.com/showthread.php?t=22308 which also uses the Cerdmann imager. I found that I had to play with the settings in "Detailed Product Images options" until I got what wanted depending on what I wanted displayed.

First, thanks for the great mod! Much appreciated, that was a lot of work!

I get thumbnails in my Recently Viewed Mod and Latest additions, but no thumbs in the detail page, recommended products, or when listing all products from a manufacturer. I skipped Step 9 in your instructions becauseI didn't know where that was supposed to go. Does that sound like the problem? If so where do I put that code?
