Sort products by Quantity available

hello,
Im trying to add a new sort option to the admin section. i would like to be able to show in stock items at the top of the list.

i found someones mod for 4.1.x but i am running 4.4.2.

i got the quantity sort to work!

the only thing now is trying to make it the default sort option... could anyone help me there?

i need to add it to the admin section (general setting/appearance) so i can select it from the drop down menu.

so if anyone is reading this, do you think i need an SQL file for that?

please help!

well i got it. this is the thread i used. i couldnt get the SQL to work, and i figured it was out dated because the codes they show are slightly different than what are in the .php files on xcart 4.4.2.

long story short, this one works for 4.4.x. you just have to change some of the coding.
