does anyone know how to add a review box on the homepage, so the users can put reviews on the actual home page.

I have installed Commentics , it appears to be working OK but I am getting many SQL errors? See below
I have install the Commentics in a new database separate from the site database.
I cannot find how to link the site database to the Commentics.

I think I have installed as instructiona although a number of posts talk about instruction number 12 I only have 9 points on the integration notes???
Any ideas?

You should be using the same database. I will update the install docs later on today, as some steps are no longer required with Commentics v2.1

Thanks for the response. I have the commentics database installed as lusiraco_commentics and Xcart is installed in lusiraco_xcart. Are you saying that I should have the Commentics tables installed in the lusiraco_xcart database??

I have updated the docs here. The zip includes Commentics v2.1 also.

Previous install steps, 2 and 3 are no longer necessary.

For best results, you do need to install Commentics to the same DB as your store.

Also, in comments/includes/db/details.php ensure the $cmtx_mysql_table_prefix value is set to "comments_"

I have deleted all from previous install and on re-Installation I get a installer failure

1062: Duplicate entry '2' for key 'PRIMARY'
Creating tables failed.

Although the tables look like they have been installed in the xcart database?

Deleted and reinstalled after optimising the database.
reloaded and this time everything loaded OK. Thanks for your help.

Your marked-up review uses ⌠votes■ instead of ⌠count■. ⌠count■ specifies the total number of reviews for an item. ⌠votes■ specifies the number of people who provided a rating, with or without an accompanying review. A site can specify count or votes, or both.

im using the latest version of commentics installed on 4.5
