Not that I can remember, Shan.

Hi, does anyone know if 3.5.3 sorts out the 3.5.2 http to https redirection when a customer tries to login from checkout when the "Tick here if you want to use HTTPS for users login and registration" tickbox is ticked in admin? I'm not sure if these entries in the changelog are relevant to the bug:

Code:
Mon Dec 29 15:19:20 MSK 2003 [*] - mclap - Minor improvement in http<=>https redirection mechanism: now its URL params positions are independent. Tue Jan 13 12:00:27 MSK 2004 [!] - mclap - The bug regarding wrong http<=>https redirection in customer area for the payment methods is fixed.

I'm too scared to upgrade and I really only need this fixing!

Thanks

Dan

No problems here .... apart from a couple of files i had to patch manually, the upgrade worked without a problem.

Upgrade went fine after I ensured my FTP client actualy uploaded the whole upgrade patch properly. The first time it didnt upload all the files and caused some very bizzard behaviour of the upgrade system.

Worth verifiying all files and folders have been uploaded properly before running a patch, it can save alot of heartache!

had a solution for the problem with page refreshing back to upgrade page....

sessions were set to store in database (option 2) setting them to option 3 fixed the upgrade problem.

I had the same problem, but my sessions are set to option 3 already... I just repeated the process again and it carried on normally, so it wasn't too much hassle.

Cheers

Dave

I am also having a problem with this upgrade patch:
I haven't worked with Smarty much yet but I understood that templates_c was the location for compiled templates - why would there be a patch for a compiled template file; doesn't it make more sense to patch the source and let Smarty recompile?

PATCH FAILED AT FILE: skin1/head.tpl, see PATCH LOG for details.
...
2 out of 2 hunks ignored--saving rejects to /xcart/templates_c/upgrade/head.tpl.rej
