Hi, I haven't been able to remove the membership level field in the registration page. Unfortunately, to go to the page, I have to disconnect, so I can't use
the Webmaster module to determine the template involved...

Anyhow, here is I tried already. I deactivated membership levels in the admin area, I even removed all of them, but the field still shows up.

I activated custom skin module, and created a template ustom_skin/default/en/common/select_membership.tpl to overwrite the corresponding template,
but this changes nothing. It looks like the file classes/XLite/View/MembershipSelect.php contains the relevant function. However, there is
a comment in it saying that it is a deprecated unused class. So I am quite at a loss. Would anyone know what to look at?

I found that I could do this by making these elements invisible by css, but I would
prefer not rendering them in the first place (it would reduce the server load). Any idea?

Hello Ed,

Please add your X-Cart version to the signature and read the forum rules. Is it for X-Cart 5?

In X-Cart 5 you should untick the "Allow customers to sign up for membership" checkbox on the "Store setup" -> "Cart & checkout" page .
