I need someone to custom code a free gift offer. The offer would add a free gift with the purchase of $0-$30, 2 free gifts for $30.01-$99.99, and so on. I would also need this to work in reverse, if the customer decides to drop back below the $30 limit the free gift goes from a quantity of 2 to 1. The quantity box for the free gift on the cart page would have to be absent or either not changeable. Also i would like to have a dialogue box that states "you are only $5.65 away from a scond free gift" in the cart page. If anyone can help please let me know!

Just buy the On Sale mod from Altered Cart!

Thanks carpeperdiem, that is exactly what i am looking for, only one more question. I want the shopping cart to say "you are only $5.65 away from a scond free gift", or whatever the case may be. do you know of a mod or hack to do this?

It is built into On Sale - or you can easily use smarty to do some math for you too. I use both methods.

Once you have On Sale, if you find the calculations to not be 100% what you want, just drop me a note and I'll give you the smarty to do the math yourself... I've already posted it up here too...

you can use a variation of this code to use smarty to display "spend more to get something..." messages

BUT -- On Sale does this much more elegantly -- since it can be tied to a specific promotion.

But this shows that smarty can do the math too... but On Sale is more specific to the offer.
