Does anyone know of a way to discount an entire category (ie. 50% off all Clothing) using On Sale? I've been playing around with it but can't figure this one out. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You create a Sale Type 5 and apply the discount to whatever category and subcategories you want.

Thanks - it's working! It's strange though - the discount shows up in most places except for when I choose the category that the sale was created for. For instance if I do a text search it shows the results with the discount, or if I choose "Shop by brand" it shows, but not if I choose the clothing category?

It sounds like a template file hasn't been updated. You may want to double check the install and make sure you aren't running any custom templates.

I'm still having trouble with the sales not showing up in some categories, it does show up when you get to the product page though.

Can someone tell me which template file I should check? And what code I'm looking for?
