Default Question: Pro/Con of using $lng.lables

Purpose of having $lng.lables are for easy storefront changes. But if I have certain lables that I'm certain I won't change (ex. $lib.add_to_cart), would it be better off hardcoding Add to Cart where $lib.add_to_cart was? Will replacing lots of redundant lables be efficient on running scripts?

Having lables are great for website designers, but if I can replace most of them with plain text, it'll be easier for any programmers taking over my spot modifying the site.

Thoughts and comments anyone?

Default

You'd loose the ability to change languages of your x-cart, if its hardcoded, the main disadvantage

Does make me wonder about processing time.
