I am sorry to hear your disappointment regarding our work...

You say the upgrade came up with an internal server 500 error? I guess it may be an issue related either to your specific web-server configuration/settings or to your specific X-Cart installation.

Anyway, to find out the root of the problem, we need to investigate the issue directly in your X-Cart installation on your server. That is why I asked you to create a new support ticket and report the problem there.

Before our support engineer proceed with the investigation, please restore the original version of your X-Cart store (4.3.0) from backups.

Please let me assure we never charge our clients for bugs in our software. If the issue turns out to be a bug in the upgrade pack, no points will be taken for the support ticket.

Our maintenance engineers have tested the upgrade package using default X-Cart 4.3.0 installation and Light & Lucid skin. The problem was not replicated.

To investigate the issue further, could you please provide us with the following information:

1) What skin was installed in your original X-Cart 4.3.0 installation?

2) What add-on modules were installed in your original X-Cart 4.3.0 installation?

3) Please provide us with the original skin1/.skin_descr file from your original X-Cart 4.3.0 installation.

4) Let specify what skin and modules you selected when downloading the upgrade package:

- X-RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization)
- X-AOM (Advanced Order Management)
- X-FancyCategories

- Vivid dreams
- Neon lights
- Crystal blue
- Flexy rectangles
- Fashion Mosaic
- Artistic Tunes

Besides, to speed up the investigation, I would recommend you to create a new support ticket in your personal Helpdesk, report the problem and post all the required information there. The engineers may also need access to the server where your X-Cart is installed.

Would you mind expanding on how this feature will work? I'm trying to decide on a version to upgrade my current store to - v4.3.1, v4.4, or v5 - and would appreciate any additional details you can offer.

-Will this be an optional feature?
-Will we be forced to use email addresses as logins?
-For stores that already have thousands of customers using non-email logins will there be any option to use both the current username or the email as the login (for transition purposes)?
-Will there be some type of unique ID field for users other than their email address, so that it can be changed/updated (unlike the current username field)?

Any details would be appreciated as this is one of the most important details for us moving forward.

The above error dont seem to be fixed with this version I was told to comment out the line below by qualiteam as a tempory fix

But undone this to upgrade to V4.3.1

Its fixes it by commenting out in V4.3.1

The fix suggested was just a temporary/workaround solution, it must be undone. The official fix is included into 4.3.1 version.

Please pardon my lack of understanding the upgrade/patch for this thread.
I'm currently using 4.3.0

So is there an actual patch/upgrade that works with out the 'workarounds'? Or would it be better to wait for 4.4?

Xcart current roadmap shows that version 4.4 is scheduled to be released in April. Does that mean 4.4 beta will be released sometime in March? Are we still on track for the date provided in the current Xcart roadmap? Thanks
