I would like to add a basic Blog to my X-Cart. My site isn't generating revenue just yet so I really don't want to pay for the Wordpress module yet. Are there any free alternatives I can use that will allow me to add blog SEO content to my site? I will probably get the Wordpress eventually but I just need something basic for now.

Hi Dave,

You can install X-Cart and Wordpress in different directories on the server so that, for example, yourdomain.com will open the blog, and yourdomain.com/shop will open X-Cart.

However, the sites won't be linked together and you will have to add links between them manually (and make the installations look the same so that users are not confused when navigating between them).

Hi Dave.
I would advise to install Wordpress into a different directory on the same server and change the appearance of the blog to look like X-Cart.
