The multi-vendor functionality is a good addition for a seperate product. I can see some improvements coming for this one.

I wonder why the vendor cannot change the order status, regardless if it assumed it is in a single warehouse. That would mean they can just view the order details and no more? They will have to get someone with admin permission to go and update the order. Is that correct?

Also, if it assumed in a single warehouse, surely all vendors are assumed from the same town, so why is the vendor location necessary in the shop pages. This would be more useful for third-party vendor who can ship from other locations.

Hi Richard!

X-Cart Multivendor currently is a single warehouse. We plan to extend this package, so it would allow vendors to ship goods from different locations, but we need changes to order system and they will come in 5.2.

So, your suggestions are great and we do want to implement them.

As for vendor's address, it is always good to provide some info about vendor rather than not. It is just nice thing to have.

Any improvement in commissioning system? Can admin set different different commission rate for different vendor or manufacturer level?

Can admin able to set Product level or category level commission for a particular vendor?

At this point there are no commission rates at all, unfortunately.

Why customizations required? It should be as base version like ******** and magento multi vendor model,they are offering commision structure on vendor level and product/category level.

If we not set commissions structure per vendor then how vendor payable will be calculated at the end of each month?

Actually There should be an option to set provider wise,manufacturer wise and product wise commissioning system in multi vendor model so that at the end of the month vendor payable should be automatic and we can pay the exact amount to the vendor by deducting commissions and which will be easily available in report or export pack.

Also any account integrations in new x-cart system?

In order management system I want this improvement also-

There should be an option for Admin to add new order status and for the corresponding order status there should be a configurations options where admin can select where to send email template and what will be the languages for email.Admin can create template for provider,customer and admin and there should be a settings option and scheduling option.

I want this improvement.

I totally agree that commissions structure should be added and it is in the nearest plans. I am talking about what we already have.

The nearest big improvement to our multi-vendor is to create an ability to send funds directly to vendor's account and this change will assume commissions structure. I cannot promise there will be manufacturer/vendor levels, but commissions will appear. Steadily we will enhance our multi-vendor solution, so it would meet more and more needs.

As for now, payments to vendors are calculated manually by admin, but admin has statistics of sales by vendor.

As for custom order email notifications, this is a great idea and part of it will be included into upcoming 5.2.

In our x-cart system commission system should be more powerful.Also ability to send funds directly to vendor's account and this change will assume commissions structure in current version of multi vendor model or will be publish on next version?

Like magneto multi vendor model they can set commission on product level even in Category and manufacturer level and vendor level commission also present.

Suppose a vendor has provided offer or discount and we as a admin also add offer to that vendor's product deducting commissions.Now at the end of month when vendor payable will be created how calculations will happen?

It is not possible to create manually it should be automatic. So there should be an options to add different commission rate for different vendor and vendor payble should be automatic and easy.

I also need this features like cskart provide-


In vendor model there should be an options to provide access of store category from the set of listed provider.Suppose we can assign 4 categories for A provider and other 4 categories for B provider.A Provider can see only their assigned category and B provider can see only their assigned category.


I finally request you to implement all those features in next release at least powerful commission system.

Thanks for your feedback. What you are suggesting is great and I am not denying it. Of course, we would love to have all the features you listed, but there is a matter of resources. We cannot have everything and right now. Instead, we can steadily step-by-step implement our clients suggestions and this is great that you reported your ideas here:

Such requests go directly to X-Cart product manager and they will consider them during planning.

Saying all above, I cannot promise that we will implement everything in next release, however it will definitely come in next versions.
