Yes I totally agree. Also it also doesn't appear that Cloudsearch recognizes the Short Description text box but does recognize the Detailed Description box. It would be great if it would recognize ALL text on an item so I wouldn't have to double up my text for each item. As was mentioned, the Keyword Search would be really helpful though the synonym addition to Cloudsearch has been extremely helpful.

well it still doesn't work..

says theres a bunch of products and 0 indexed..

I filed a support ticket yesterday and the day prior about synonyms not working, but no response.. Now I just paid $99 for a one-incident support issue.. so doesn't seem like you get much support with the subscription fee..

Why is there another CloudSearch outage? This is two weekends in a row.. You guys should make this so we can install it on our own servers..

This does need to have a more redundant configuration and an on-line status checker.

These are essential for any SAAS offering.

Does CloudSearch significantly slow down TTFB and page load times in general? I haven't experimented with disabling it but my TTFB on Chrome are a few seconds (while firefox is about 600 ms) and my javascript file size is 600+ kb...

Hi Mark,

Thank you for your feedback. Sorry for keeping silent. We have discussed this idea with a developer, and he considers it to be a reasonable request and a useful feature for future updates.

Let's put it into queue. We've created a ticket in the issue tracker with the description, will you please post your comments on the matter there?

Hi Robert,

Please accept our apologies for some delay with the reply.

No, it doesn't slow it down. The Cloud Search in X-Cart 5.2.6 is implemented so, that it does not affect the TTFB parameter at all.

I would also like to inform you about an interesting update, that many users of v.5 were asking for.

We have added a new setting to the Cloud Search module configuration:

If enabled, on the products search page of customer area the default substring search will be replaced with fulltext search powered by Cloud Search. All the power of the relevant search comes to your store!

See it in action in this online demo
