Upcoming release: Web Control and Communication Center
This January our company is going to release new product that is targeted for online business owners.
It will cover the following areas in one software package: Live communication: both text and voice chat with your customers (featuring canned messages, content pushing, call queuing and transferring, on hold mode). Offline messaging. Online site monitoring: Real time information about your visitors is displayed on the Site Monitor in graphical form. Each visitor receives his personal profile that stores the history of his interaction with you site. Visitor's actions recognition and automated reactions: system allows you to define a set of visitor's actions that it will recognize and record (e.g. adding product to cart, making order, registering etc.). So you can quickly access the history of actions through visitor profile or even set automated system reactions for some of them. Comprehensive reports: Set of preconfigured reports covering: web statistics, ecommerce reports, marketing analysis. Visual reports constructor for building your own reports. Highlights:
The development of the product is mostly finished. Beta testing and documenting is in progress. More news will come soon.

You guys are the ones who said stability is taking precedence over new features. I hope so. I've been waiting to go live for quite some freakin' time. |

I think what they are saying is that this is a new product, not a new feature to x-cart

been there done that
We used phplivesupport for awhile which basically does what your saying and works very well, however we found that it actually bothered customers and made them very annoyed, sometimes even ticking the hot heads off. Besides this it chewed server resources out of this world, and we also did'nt need to pay employees to sit and watch the online activities of customers floating around our website, so to make things short we stopped using it.

We also used phplivesupport support for some time and had to finally drop it. The software is good but it did not quite satisfy our needs because it covers only communicational part leaving real customers behaviour a riddle. If something goes wrong you have no chance to analyze the situation and make the conclusions. Now we ended up devloping the software that reflects our point of view for the problem of shop owner/customer interaction. Time will show if we are right or wrong but it is quite different from the solutons that are currently on the market.

Yes, please, this and the benchmark module really interest me. I was going to buy third party software for both, but it's rather expensive, and x-cart is all I need monitored.
