Hello quick question,


I am using Shipstation which gives me a 45% discount from UPS retail ground shipping rate.



Unfortunately Shipstation cannot feed the calculated shipping costs back to X-cart...so I have to use the UPS shipping module which only calculates the 'retail' rate.


I thought it would be easy to use this module to calculate shipping and then simply apply a 45% discount to the rate before it posts on the checkout page.


unfortunately I cannot find a way to do this...


any ideas?

You will need custom module for this.

I seem to remember that X-cart 4.x had the ability to calculate shipping volume and not just by weight...is there anyway to do that with xcart 5.4.x?

Yes it can if using user-defined shipping method.
XC4 had the ability to add markup for all shipping methods including real time ones. XC5 cannot modify real time rates in any way unless you get it custom coded.
