Hi, I need to remove the ability for my client to get to the 'Templates.' This will enure that they wont mess them up.

From this main screen:

From this page, you can build and maintain the store in a very easy way! The menu on the left can be used to access to main functions.

Users
This section allows you to manage user accounts (including customer accounts, provider accounts and administrator accounts).

Categories
This section allows you to setup the categories tree. Categories are used to split the store into different departments by product class (brand, type, etc).

Orders
This section allows you to browse through orders to gather statistics about sales of selected provider.

Newsletter
This section allows you to manage the newsletter subsystem.

Statistics
This sections gives you a shop overview.

General setting
This section allows you to make changes to the store's basic configuration.

Shipping methods
This section allows you to define shipping methods that you wish to be available to customers. Once a shipping method has been created, product vendors will be allowed to setup shipping charge calculations for it.

Edit templates
This section allows you to change the store's look. Since store engine is very flexible and extremely configurable, be careful! The high flexibility requires basic HTML knowledge and experience.

Payment methods
This section is used to define payment methods you wish to accept for your store.

CC processing
This section allows you to enable/disable real time credit card processing.

States
This section is used to define the list of states of the country where the shop is located. States are used in shipping and tax calculations.

Gift Certificates
This section is used to view/modify Gift Certificates ordered by customers.

What template needs to be edited for me to take out the 'templates' link?

all that lot's editable in

skin1\admin\main\promotions.tpl

You'll have to take it out of the Admin menu too
