X-Cart 4.1.5 is now available for downloading from your File area along with the upgrade kits that will take you from X-Cart 4.1.0-4.1.4 to 4.1.5.

To access the upgrade patch, log into the Help Desk, go to the 'My Licenses' section, find the license of the X-Cart that you wish to upgrade and click on the 'Get upgrade pack' link.

Changelog between 4.1.4 and 4.1.5 final release attached.

Cannot upgrade for some reason, upgrade hangs on include/func/func.cart.php .. other strange "could not patch" errors on files which have not even been modified.

That will happen occasionally...

1. restore from original distributive, then try the patch...
2. compare new file to old and use a text editor that lets you do a compare and selective "copy to new"
3. If you are certain that you have no modifications to the source, then simply use the new distributive and run the patch. It will tell you "already patched".

Once you get your head around the upgrade process, you can do it relatively fast... I upgraded from 4.1.4 to 4.1.5 in about 10 minutes (including backup time).

4.1.3 to anything will be MUCH more complex than .4 to .5 though!

Go slow, and use some text editor tools and you'll be fine... the first time is a biotch and then it gets easier as you go.

Hello,

I am having the same issue as RichieRich. I have attempted to do some detective work on my own. I found out if I rename the include/func/func.cart.php & include/func/func.order.php files the patch test continues to the end report stating that the files are missing. I tried to copy the files from the 4.1.5gold full install files and the upgrade testing still hangs on those files. I also tried taking the original 4.1.3 install copies of those files and I got the same result. I can't seem to get this update to work. If anyone can help I would be grateful.

After you restored the files from the 4.1.5 distributive, did you chmod 666 before running the script in the admin? The admin needs to see 666 on the files or else it will hang. Hope this helps.

Yes, I did change the permissions on these files and it still hangs.

I managed to solve the upgrade from 4.1.3 to 4.1.5 from hanging on the func.cart.php & func.order.php files. I went under the patch file section and reverse patched the 2 files with the .diff files extracted from the upgrade files. I then ran the 4.1.5 upgrade and the upgrade went through fine.

I did encounter a glitch with the user passwords. They were all erased in there user profiles. They show up in the mysql table but not in x-cart. If anyone has been through this before and would like to provide some insight I would appreciate it.

Able to get all to work on 4.1.3 upgrade except this error, which I do not know how to fix:

The database version has not been updated!
