OK - well obviously Steve suggests not using the Custom CSS, but for now, that's the easiest and quickest way - unless you want to get involved in creating modules etc.

To alter the titles, you need to edit:
#htmlcontent_top ul li .item-html h2

So add that to the custom css and then add the styles to it that you want.

If you use Firefox and press F12 to get developer mode, you will be able to see the styles applied to each element and edit them on the fly to see what your changes will look like. Then copy them in to the custom css.

Paul,

Thank you. I'm starting to see what you mean. Never used Firefox or developer mode so trying to find out where those items are on the home page to find out which elements to change...

I don't know how to write css. I'm guessing you mean to copy out the Firefox code and paste into custom css in my admin area? New stuff for me for sure!

Yes, that's the basic process.
For sure, you've got a bit of a learning curve ahead of you - and teaching all those things isn't really possible in the forum.
It's not so much an X-Cart thing at this stage - using developer mode (you can also do the same in Chrome) and writing css are general skills - for which you will find loads and loads of tutorials on the internet.

It's at this stage that most people decide if they want to just stick to building cars and concentrate on what they are good at and hire a professional for the job, or if time/budget doesn't allow - then embark on climbing that learning curve.

Second that. I like doing things myself whenever possible. But there are things I am simply not born for This is where I just have to bite the bullet and hire someone else with the knowledge and experience to do it for me. And the right tools as well.

It is not that learning html and css is hard. In fact it is the easiest to learn for site building but it is still something you have to spend time on and start from the basics. And XC is really not the platform to learn this.

Understood. I'm at that point. In our old v4 store I had way more time and desire to learn it so did a lot of changes myself, now way less time and very little desire!

Contact me and let me know how we could work out a deal on you helping me change the font on those 'Suspension', 'Brake' etc blocks. I've figured out how to play around with the graphics, just need help on the fonts.
