I am really proud to inform you that all new X-Payments 2.0 has been released after PA-DSS 2.0 certification has been completed a couple of days ago.

Yes, your X-Cart version will be able to process payments via Chase Orbital integration provided by X-Payments 2.0
New gateways can be used without having to upgrade your X-Cart (well, you need to use X-Payments 2.0 instead of X-Payments 1.0).

But if you need to take advantage of other new X-Payments 2.0 features (ability to save customers credit cards for new payments and subscriptions) you'll need to use X-Cart 4.6.1 or customize your existing X-Cart 4.5.4 to support them.

So from what I understand, if I already have Xpayments version 1.x and I want version 2, the cost is $389 for a license exchange/upgrade?

Me thinks this cart is getting a little bit too expensive for my operation
(I'm not discounting the work that goes into these things) Its just getting to be more and more profit out the door for too many compliance issues.

And v2.0 cost more than v1.x now - from $1189 to $1499 - this is huge increase of about 25%...

Unfortunately the cost of compliance will only go up in the future...

Remember, there are a lot of off-site payment methods available. Small merchants that cannot afford the costs should stick with these solutions. And from what I understand, unless you want the new features of X-payments 2.0, you don't need to do anything.

You do not have to go with the downloadable license that includes installation & connection services + an SSL certificate now and hence the price increase.
