4.0.6 -> 4.0.7 update easy, but..
now when i'm trying to modify any product i get

I've double checked my manual upgrade twice and every time I upload the new file, it causes no output to be displayed (blank homepage). I'm probably next going to upload a fresh func.php and reapply my changes. Never had this much trouble before manually upgrading a file.

I had this problem to... quickly fixed it after I discovered that I had left a "+" in the beginning of two lines in the func.php file.

Thanks for the reply. I looked for that too, but didn't find any extra +'s Even did a file search on the +'s Might try again, or just apply my changes to the fresh func.php file. I did a 4.0.5 to 4.0.6 upgrade immediately before the 4.0.7 upgrade and manually upgraded the func.php file fine.

You know. I did get an email yesterday about 4.0.7 being released. I was a pleasantly surprised.

Maybe the X-Cart team should outsource their newsletter and public relations department. One has to assume that their time is much more valuable with bug fixes, patches and custom services.

Have to say though, I was very pleasantly surprised at v4.0.7. Upgraded all through the 4.x series and it works great. Then I upgraded to the PRO version and have yet to get half of my menus in the admin ... ultimately, I had to do a fresh install of PRO and had a nightmare trying to get the database imported. Moving tables is too medieval.

None of my passwords worked on the old database and had to reinvent the wheel with the encrypted mysql password in order to change it. I was under the impression that PRO was built into Gold and would be a no brainer. Am I wrong or has anyone made the jump easily?

I upgraded 4.0.4 to 4.0.7, and had to manually update 16 files. Doing func.php was harder than the other 15 combined.

I figured it out. When copying and pasting, wordwrapping didn't occur in some places and created hard returns instead which wasn't obvious at first. So if anyone else runs into this, look for that.
