Yes, access to the new version costs $389 for those who uses downloadable X-Payments v1 license. Unfortunately PA-DSS 2.0 and the rest didn't cost us cheap either

Those who are on Hosted plans just need to contact us via their HelpDesk accounts and tell us they want their hosted account to be upgraded to v2.0 and we will do that.

Remember - existing v1 deployments can be used even after Oct 28th 2013 when PA-DSS 1.x certification of X-Payments v1 expires and it will become unavailable for new deployments according to the PCI Council rules.

There are much more available hosted plans at $49.95/mo that combine both X-Payments 2.0 and PCI compliant hosting all together. See http://www.x-cart.com/xpayments-pricing.html

Mmmm that's not right now is it... Why would you include SSL with the downloadable version? What if I already have an SSL or want to purchase my own? You are forcing purchaser of X-Payments to use SSL you provide or are affiliate with. So in case I want my own SSL I have to pay twice for having one...

The installation and setup was included in previous price as well so that makes the SSL $310... while I can purchase one for probably $30-$40....

Not even looking at the hosted solutions as these are out of question permanently

SSLs are a lot less.. $4.99 (as an example) for a basic SSL. (and really these are still just printing money as it costs very to make one and host the auth servers these days)

I do have to question why X-cart would choose to include or carry over an SSL into the downloadable product. Most of us will already be operating an SSL of some kind already ... I think we are reading this wrong. I hope so at least.

Since moving from Auth to Orbital will save us the price of V2 in about 1 day. I'll be upgrading this weekend -- if family doesn't intervene ..

The hosted solution has its market and potential customers and having X-Payments offering this if ok. I am not a fan of it though.

You said, I heard.

For existing X-Cart Community developers we can have special "developers license" price that doesn't include our services and the SSL (at our web-site price). So you will be able to buy new X-Payments 2.0 downloadable licenses $250 cheaper but you'll have to do installation and connection yourself (I do not think it should be a large problem for you ).

To take advantage of such license - send me a PM.

When will you be upgrading customers on the monthly payment option?

Such upgrade is done per customer's request and it is free in case of X-Payments Hosted subscription. I see you've already posted yours.

If we remain with X-Payments 1.0.x how long can we expect to receive updates? or is this end of support life?

v1.0.6 is the last release of X-Payments v1.x branch. No new improvements for v1.x branch will be available. Bug-fixes are to be provided within a year since it has been released in February 2013 (http://blog.x-cart.com/x-cart-455-and-xpayments-106-released.html).
