Auth.net
I'm trying to set up Auth.net for my store to be able to make repeat charges to a customers card, but I can't do that with Authorize.NET Accept.js, which we currently use.
I think I can do this with Authorize.NET SIM, but X-Cart is telling me I need to pay for xp cloud to use with Authorize.NET SIM. I don't understand why I need to use XP cloud. Help?

Re: Auth.net
Authnet Accept.js cannot do this and is not coded to allow for recharges. I had this problem with couple clients and I think the problem lies in the Accept.js itself not the integration. The service simply cannot do multiple charges out of one authorization.
You cannot do this with Authnet SIM either as the SIM method is web-based and customer enters CC info on Authnet site for one time charge. You can do this with Authnet CIM but then this payment method requires X-Payments.

Re: Auth.net
I'm bummed to have to pay another subscription. Do you think X-Payments is the best way to go? Alternative suggestions?

Re: Auth.net
You can still use AuthNet Accept.js for partial charge if you want to but any further charges with the same authorization will have to be done form within your Authnet account.
Basically say you have an order for $100 and shipping is TBD so you can auth & capture $100 at time of order placement. When you know how much you will charge for shipping you go to your Authnet account find the authorization for the transaction and run another charge on it. But you cannot do this from XC, it has to be done from Authnet. If you do not want to use XPayments then you have to find another payment processor and not Authnet Accept.js. I am not sure which one will work like this without XPaymetns. Check the payment gateways XC supports.
