Help Boomer!!
Hey!
It's been a little while since posting here. I have got myself in a jam. I tried to modify the registration form and it's now gone. I created copies of each file before modifying; realized I was in trouble and saved them back to the original state... unfortunately that didn't work!! Don't know why, they were not messed with in any way. Nevertheless, I've contacted x-cart and that will take some time. I'm hoping Boomer or someone out there could help me. It's critical to get it up and running again. At this point, no one can register and no one can place a new order without the registration form. Here is the error code I get: Parse error: parse error in /home2/maple01/maplestreetmusic-www/xcart/templates_c/%%180/%%1802305980/register.tpl.php on line 265 What's the deal with this templates_c folder? I see it, but there are no files in it, just a bunch of folders (%%%80 etc.). It also looks like a file has been renamed (.tpl.php), but I can't find it. Not sure what happened here!! I'm more than happy to pay for a little help. Thanks!!! Someone rescue me!! Take care, Jeff http://www.maplestreetmusic.com/xcart/customer/register.php |

Empty that folder (templates_c) as the old versions are probably still cached. If it's not that, then try to think what other things you might have changed.

Hey,
It won't let me delete anything in that templates_c folder. Not to mention, when opening them, there are no files at all. It won't let me delete anything! Any thoughts? Thanks, Jeff |

-Make sure you have permissions set correctly
-then run cleanup.php in your /store folder

you can also restore your templates via the admin area.
use edit templates, find the template thats gone wrong and then choose restore template towards the bottom of the page

that didn't do it
that didn't do it. ran the cleanup.php file and nothing. i created copies of each file before modifying. i realized i was in trouble and immediately saved those copies back to the original file name. So, it should be intact the way it was before I screwed it up.
any other ideas? i'm curious to know why it's referring to a file called register.tpl.php? On line 265? I've looked all over and can't find anything. Appreciate your help bigtime Jeff |

rename templates_c to templates_old then make a new folder called templates_c and set it to chmod 777

Cool!! Did it through the admin. I restored the register.tpl file in the main folder and it's back.
