my site is Version: Free 5.2.6

I cannot remove the Phone Address Field from checkout forms. Trying to remove from unchecking the Phone Field in address fields does not work. I keeps returning to a checked box after saving.

What is the path to manually remove this field.?

Hello.
You should disable this field in your cart.
This can be done under the 'Store setup' > 'Cart & Checkout' > 'Address fields'.
It will disappear from the checkout as well.
