Default Create module

Is there any documentation on how to create your own module? I can not seem to find anything in the docs. I made a folder in the modules directory and added my php file, but it;s not listed in the available modules in admin. Also how do i set up my config?

Hi Jason, please don't double post, I have removed your second post on the subject.

There are no docs for creating your own module I'm afraid. Honestly the best advice is to purchase a third party add-on and see what kinds of changes are necessary to include your custom code into the X-Cart structure including database changes.

Thanks Padraic.
Is there any indication on how to install a module? Do you just place the folder in the modules folder?

No, that's what I mean, it isn't that easy. You need to reference the module in the database and tie it into the X-Cart system by editing php and .tpl files.

I wouldn't say that. It isn't designed as a 'plug and play' cart, no, but if you know what you are doing it is quite flexible.

Hi Jason, get XCSEO Basic, it's a free (open-source) module, and can show you the basics of implementing a module into X-Cart.
