Default Cartlab phpBB Integration tweaking

I'm currently using Cartlab's phpBB integration mod. Everything seems to work but I would like to change it a bit. I would like to add a checkbox underneath the register account form so that the customers will have the option of also creating a forums account when they register rather than having it automatically done for them. So in essense I would like to incorporate the following:

(just before the submit button)

[checkbox] Also create a message board account for me.

The code should check whether that checkbox has been ticked and if so then it will process the code to create the message board account. Otherwise, it will just create the store account.

Thanks in advanced for your help.

dunno how it is nowadays, but for the past 2-3 years, phpBB2 has been one of the most insecure scripts available on the net (along with PHP-Nuke). just mentioning this, as you're handling customer's payment information and personal details, so you should be keeping security in mind.

it would be best if you splurged for a proper message board, such as VBulletin or Invision Power Board, or at least use a more secure message board such as Simple Machines Forum (SMF)

Cheers

Thanks for the tip. Actually, we are now leasing vBulletin and having the integration custom developed.

Default Re: Cartlab phpBB Integration tweaking

I have X-Cart with the cartlab phpBB integration installed.

I want to uninstall it, as we never used it.

I don't know where all the hacks are, and the inegration is not a simple "module" I can turn off. Does any one have the original "installation instructions" for the cartlab phpbb hacks?

I can work backwards from that and uninstall.

Thanks in advance. Please email me directly with the cartlab instructions. Andy@ampersandesign.net

It seems you should be able to communicate with Cartlabs directly to get the uninstall method for the phpbb mod
