Xcart 4.0.5 Released With Upgrade Kit + Changelog

Noticed two more problems, both in the HTML-catalog.

1) the hyperlink of "previous news" points in a strange way:
a) in the root index.html it points to /news.php
b) in the shop/catalog-dir it points to shop/catalog/news.php

Both should have pointed to shop/news.php. So one link goes one level short & the other one level to deep.

2) the hyperlink for "If javascript ..."
a) in index html it points corectly to home.php?js=n
b) on any other html-pages it simply points to that html-file ... nothing more, nothing less.

Another small bug noticed... if you already have a thumbnail and detailed image for a product you can not change the images unless you open a second window. And yes... the cart seems a lot slower....

v4.0.5 - contact us page - the state and country labels are now strangely aligned to the right. Anyone fixed this?

Shipping seems to be working today. Must have been a USPS server issue or something.

Inventory is not correct in 4.0.5. It still allows customers to put items in the shopping cart even though inventory is 0 in the admin section.

This is kind of drastic, isn't it? The X-cart team have been at this for quite a while, and I've been happily using the software for the better part of a year. I'm sure the problems will be corrected eventually.

I'm still running a 6 month old release of X-cart right now. I'm patiently waiting for most of the major bugs to be fixed so that I can upgrade my site accordingly.

X-Cart has changed the format of it's forms but forgot about the contact us form.

In skin1/help/contactus.tpl just change:

in every field.

See the Rants & Raves area of the forum. X-Cart admits that they know there is a quality problem, and only by users speaking out have we been able to push for some acknowledgement and change.

I'm happy you are pleased with your cart. Let's hope that more of us can be happy with this branch further down the road.

I seemed to have narrowed down one item that effects the speed of the cart dramatically. DON'T USE PRODUCT VARIANTS! IT'S BROKE!!! I changed all my product variants to nil modificators and Vroom, Vroom. The half baked button beside the "Add/Update button is a dead giveaway that there is a problem in the product modify chain.
