I have just tried to install this MOD, all looks fine untill I try and add a free gift?

I get this error...

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: func_product_exists_is_avail() in /home/usr/public_html/store/provider/freegifts.php on line 10

I am no php expert, so I was wondering if this was because it wouldn't work on vers 4.0.17??

there's no guarantee that it would work in 4.0... don't know if anyone has tried it... but the error you're getting is referring to a function that should've been added to func.php... check it over and make sure you edited it properly...

I have been searching the forums for days looking for a mod that would allow me to offering demo software for free ut they still have to register. Do you think your mod could be modified to do that?

Yeah it could... Depends on how well you know your way around the code and what version you are using...

I have a hard time implementing this on 4.18. product.tpl has changed a lot

i only want to display (when a customer buy 3 products) that we give 1 product of our choise as gift. How can i handle this?

Without going through the whole code, is this turn on and offable.(new word for today)

I.e when we have finished a free gift promotion we can just turn it off and all will be back to normal (or is it if you delete the free gift it turns back to normal)

I made this mod as a quick solution and posted the code on the forum to help people out. But it is by no means a easy-to-implement, self-contained mod and you'll definitely run into problems if installing on 4.0. There is no on-off feature but that's the point of mods - you can further mod them yourself to make them work how you want them to.

It is a great mod that is very flexible, I highly recommend it
