I am not seeing a fix for the clean urls for menus. This was mentioned some time ago and still not fixed.
Links added to menus - top and footer - do not convert in the menus.

Added ?target=contact_us and it shows like this as link although loading the page shows it in the browser address bar properly as clean url

This needs to be fixed.

You know I don't remember but this probably means I did not. I may have just posted here in some of the XC5 tickets in response to QT staff...

Lets work with Contact Us page but any other page is a good example too - Sale, New Arrivals, Coming Soon...

Now point to Contact Us link in the top menu or footer links. It's link is like this

https://demostore.x-cart.com/?target=contact_us - not user-friendly (clean) url

If you click on it it loads

https://demostore.x-cart.com/contact_us/ - it is converted to the clean url version

When adding dynamic links to menus from admin and you enter any category link it shows in the menus with its clean url version. But this applies to categories and products only. Any other link is not showing in the menus with its clean url version. Unless you enter the actual url.

BT 48639 covers a couple of things, but both of which are overdue. In the ticket, within one of the XC comments, it says; "... it is a major change. it will be released as part of 5.3.5 or 5.4 only..." it's not included in 5.3.5 dev release, however, we are going to add to 5.3.5.1 dev release, which scheduled for next week. Hope everything merges well, there are a lot of changes.

Steve, xc5 does not post filter the entered values at all. Nor for quick links, nor for the categories.

we have an improvement to replace {contact_us} with the cleanURL but not going to replace the real dynamic URL with cleanURL.
