Hi,


One of our customers wants to link his Google Ads (Adwords) account to XC5.
The version of his software is 5.3.6.6


As I understand you've got to install the Google Tag Manager Addon. This adds the Google tag to all pages of your webstore (just like Google Analytics).



What else should we do? I'm not a specialist on linking XC5 to Google Ads. The info in the X-Cart documentation is from 2017-2019 and mostly outdated.


What should we do? All ideas, suggestions and other information are welcome.


(maybe X-Cart should write a good instruction on this...)

Tag manager will let you connect to google ads for conversion tracking etc.

You will also need this -https://market.x-cart.com/addons/google-product-feed.html to generate a product feed for your merchant center.

I have also specified feed rules in google to optimize the ad campaign.
