I am having this exact same issue with [/img] on 4.0.18

EDIT:

I've figured out that the error is due to the forum here messing up the formatting of the pasted source, even though its properly wrapped in code tags!! AAH!

Someone, please re-post a non-messed-up copy of the code. Thanks!

i have X-cart PRO 4.1.6.

i read all threats i could;tested all mods; but i couldnt find the key ..

* I have many products & i want them sort manually by a date
* I really need to sort by a date, that i can place into a 'extra field' or something , so i can settle products in the top of my category ho are hot & in stock ..

I think i need to store it in database..

who is THE man here??

There is a thread at http://forum.x-cart.com/showthread.php?t=18788 that does what you are asking. There is a problem in that it does not sort by date by default in version 4.1.x.

The mod discussed in this thread works with 4.0.x and works fine when setup correctly (we are using it in 4.0.19 without problems), however because of the database differences between 4.0.x and 4.1.x it does not work with 4.1.x.

To answer your question about storing your data in the database, other than photos all data is stored in the database. If you have many products the speed of your x-cart will suffer if you store photos in the database.

yes that was the prob, not possible to set sortdate by default 4.1.x (for me).

well now i opened a ticket, now it's been done. but i like to do it by myself..

what's the $daterange in windows time? For users running xcart on windows servers.
