Default Changing Skins

Hi guys, In most other applications, changing the skin is probably the most easiest thing to do.
But for x-cart, you have to purchase another piece of software from another website to do this.
I don't see why this isn't just built into x-cart?

I bought the orange edges skin from x-cart. How do I install it myself manually? Is there some documentation somewhere here in these forums?

Thank you

Didn't that skin come with an installation help file? Here's an ongoing discussion on the topic that might be helpful:

oh yes, I see

I know about that, but i'm short on money.

I'm in the install.php to re-install a new skin, but its asking for an auth code
My auth code is %LICENSE% according to the summary page in my Admin.
That must be a bug in the page because %LICENSE% doesn't look like an auth code, it looks like some sort of a variable.
Can someone shed some light on this problem?

Thank you

Yea, that is a bug. Should show up as your actual code. No worries, you can find your auth code in the includes/install.php file. Just open it up and you'll see it a few lines down.

k great it works, thanks for the auth code!

I just changed the skins, but now my images aren't showing up on the pages? What gives. Why would a skin change prevent my images from coming up?
When i write out the full path to the image, it says "You do not have permission to access this document."

I changed the permissions to 777 for the images folder in FTP but still to no avail.
Whats going on?

Are you talking about product images or graphics images?
