Default Bypass the quntities in details

How can I bypass the quantity in the details page.
I'm using product options for my quantities. They are usually 1000, 5000, 1000, 15000, ect. So I made them an option to have more control.

I deleted the quantities in the product.tpl and when you click the buy now button you go directly to the shopping cart and it's empty.

What would be the best way to have my quantities as I listed above.

Thanks I'm really stuck on this one.

Not sure that will work. The cart somehow needs to know the quantity when you hit that add to cart button, and it can't pull the data from the options variable.

i felt this might be the case.

so what would be the right way to get the same result?

example qty. 1,000 - 5,000 - 10,000 - etc.

You could change the quantity drop-down box itself to only show the quantities you want instead of 1, 2, 3, etc. But you would have to write {if} statements for those specific products.

You could also just make it clear that each product only comes in multiples of 1000....so selecting 1 from the quantity box would really be 1000....

Yes, you need to put a hidden field in to tell it to use a quantity of 1. Do a search in the forum, there are a couple of threads on how to do this.
