In version 4.0.x there is a General Settings option "Create all necessary categories during products import:", but I cannot find an equivalent option in version 4.1. Can someone tell me where to find it, or has it been removed from this version?

whooooo 3.5.x import of 3000 products WORKED!!!!!

well, sort of....

still need to manually fix product option validations and for some reason, all subcategories are their own category now. i'll open a new thead for my issues



so it looks like product import is not bad; but how about user and orders? With the import it looks like all new productid's which i am guessing would not match up with any type of order history db conversion?

Couple of bugs :

1. In trying to name the speed bar items, some changes are not made and duplicates are generated on the 'name'. Look at the speed bar on http://www.cglass.co.uk/newshop/

2. When the subcategories are regenerated within admin, the fancy categories popouts do not work.

1. It seems you have customized the speed bar in your X-Cart. At least, I could not reproduce the problem you are experiencing on a default installation.

2. This issue may be related to the error in the routine of calculating the number of subcatergories. Try to apply the attached patch, please. Then go to the section 'Summary/Tools' and click the button 'Force cache generation'.

I am about to create another online store using X-Cart, which would be live in about 2 months. Do you expect to have a stable 4.1.x branch by then (end of June)? I would much rather start development right off the bat using 4.1.0 and then patch up the the stable version prior to going live, rather than developing on 4.0.18 and then having to have a major upgrade done on it.
