If it went both ways, i would buy, but lets not let the price get out of control. I'm not a multi million dollar operation.

yeah i might consider it too if it was a total integration...

i wonder though, what happens when it comes time to upgrade one or the other, would it break both softwares functionality?

Point vB's registration links to X-Cart's and you've got a more integrated version. Updating profiles however would still be seperate.

I've considered making it full compatible, but im not vB or phpBB expert and don't know the best possible approachs for such, which is why I only make the conversion one way with my scripts.

As far as upgrading, it causes no problems when upgrading either vB or X-Cart.

I did think of pointing vb's registration to xcart.

How or what is the best way to handle someone wanting to sign up in the forums and the registration in pointed to xcart's registration and the address is required?

Should the security feature where you have to click the link in the confirmation email be turned off?

Well the whole point of integartion is one userbase, so you wouldn't want to have some registered vB users and some X-Cart users, some people may take usernames and cause problems with the script.

Security feature needs to be disabled, as the integartion will NOT send out an verification email with link.

Anyone know of anyway where I could acutally intergrate the page of vbulletin into the central column of the x-cart site, so that they have all the nav, headers etc. etc on hand all the time??

I agree if there was a way it was backward compatible ie: that it would pick up the previous people that were registered... we have a large client base which are already registered in our Vb's (we have nearly 40,000) users and would be more efficient for that many users to have it the other way around

I've been debating on writing a tool to include with the VB integration mod that would do just such. Batch import existing VB users into X-Cart's customer table as to support any pre-existing users. However I need data to do such and I don't have many users on my development server.

Just wanted to say:

This is just AWESOME!

One of the very best carts in existence and certainly the best bulletin board.

Since I'll be using XC temporarily, so much the better. I'm a happy camper. Smitten! Most carts will integrate with phpBB only (if they integrate with anything at all), ignoring the truly best one.

In the future, I bet a VB mod for LC will bring massive numbers of vbulletin users over to lite (vb 3.5 and litecommerce are very similar, how they're both 'plugin platforms'; one for communication, the other for commerce).

Thank you!!

**happily forks over money for mod**
