It is VERY powerful and you can build some crazy complicated menus if you choose to.
Adding images to menus, and having multi-column menus are big merchandising tools.
I could not have built my store to my liking without xmenus (or something comparable).
I sent you a PM with a link to see my store.

I really like the mod but what I would like to see some facts too. How big are sizes of a complete menu? I'm not a fan how XC loads 160+ templates just to display a home page.

xMenus cpu time is 0.02698 seconds total for my horizontal menus that are relatively complex.
JS is cached and also using CDN so after initial pageload, menus are not downloading with each page.

I've tested it and even there are a bunch of new templates loading in, it seems to be fast.

Is there a way to still show three levels in the dropdown menu?

When you can do 4 columns, do you really need to nest?

We reinvented our navigation and really thought about what was important for a nav menu structure.

Old paradigm was 2-4 levels nested. Navigate to any page in one click.
New paradigm is more obvious path that customers will want to explore/browse
Don't forget to include search in your navigation design!
We also place images in key menu positions to help the customer find important destinations.

Using xmenus can permit the store to totally reinvent how the customer shops.

I've just noticed in Chrome's developer tools that it is flagging the following problem with xMenus:

Code:
event.returnValue is deprecated. Please use the standard event.preventDefault() instead.

Does anyone know if this has been addressed in recent versions of xMenus? If not I can raise a ticket with TXS.

DavyMac,
I don't have Xmenus so it may indeed have a problem, but I see this on every website that does not have the latest jQuery version. I don't think this is Xmenus related, more like jQuery related. And I bet there are literally millions of sites suffering from this at the moment. I wouldn't worry about it. Even twitter.com, and facebook.com is returning this error in chrome. If there dev teams aren't worried, neither am I.

I use modified version of "stickUp", all other scripts kill drop-down menus.
And it really depends on the page structure.
