I upgraded to 4.4.5 this past week and ran into a bug that I was told was template related. When IE PC users check out, they input their address info and it hangs when trying to add it. Then you get an error telling you to refresh and same thing happens again. I had 4 customer complaints today and I was able to reproduce the issue myself in IE.

There was another post here with a fix, but it did not work for me and was told it was probably the template:

Also get the error on the Terms of Service and Privacy links, which I have not been able to get to load even in 4.4.4 and I put the wording in both the language files and the actual privacy and tos pages in x-cart. Again, I was told it had to be template related.

I have not added any mods to the store yet, so it can't be a mod conflict issue.

Mary, the template does not modify anything in the checkout, we've been quite careful about that.

Mary I don't know if this will help; it's just an idea. Try switching to the default, built-in template that comes with X-Cart and test with that.

Thanks, still an issue. I have no idea what is going on. No mods or anything to cause this and started with 4.4.5 upgrade this week.

I think your generalization of some known bugs are wrong! most of us have a test site and do our homework before we post here. I take offensive to your remark about being lazy. SOME(I) have tried every way but Sunday to solve a problem-even PM Phil, which has nothing to do with the site but the template itself.

When you make a broad remark like that you stifle others from posting what might be a stupid question to you but valid to the owner of the site. Others with the same template may find the question or fix useful, they may even have a solution themselves

For myself i paid for a template to work not to adjust the working codes. Now my test site works fine and the live site does not. Being lazy is not a factor here, while i must say phil has done some things that has helped me out tremendously(thanks Phil) i do take the time to try my codes on my test sites FIRST. Now if Phil has installed this template to the test site, then to the live site it should work fine RIGHT?

Most people who assume that a designer is being pushed to their limits post a sticky to advise user's what/how they can do, instead of generalizing the whole posts all about a "People need to remember" admonishment statement.

People need to remember that you ONLY bought a template. You did not purchase Phil to design your website for you. Use FF and download Firebug, and of course backup files before you edit them. When your going to edit your website do small edits, and then test your website to see if everything is okay. A lot of the errors/issues is down to human error, e.g coding wrong or just being lazy.

I am trying to tweak my Smart Template to display each product with a box around it and all the product info within centered. The ability Template seems to be able to do this but not the Smart Template 4.4.x.

Have attached images show what I would like mine to look like.

Hi Phil,
I am trying to install the RSS-Feed-Generator here: http://www.xcartmods.co.uk/X-Cart-Latest-News-and-Products-RSS-Feed-Generator-v4.4.x.html

On line 71 in the install.txt file, in step 4, is
{if $active_modules.News_Management}
But in my skin/common_files/admin/menu_box.tpl file, it does not match. Instead, on line 134 it is
{if $active_modules.News_Management ne ""}

What should I do?
