I don't get such an error. I am assuming you are on windows as W:/ is a windows filesystem drive. Maybe some linux-specific code.

Another annoyance is the coupons. It still works on the situation that ALL coupons are shown on one page. With us giving out a good few coupons, it is annoying to have to look around to find the one we want. Maybe seportate it out into different months (Jan, Feb, March, ect) so it is easier to find ones we want.

That's exactly why we stopped using the HTML catalog. We got tired of the calls and emails from people saying their cart kept emptying.

This was before Ajax really hit the scene though. I think an Ajax solution would be great.

Hi,

A great feature that I know is very possible as there's module add-ons for this but what really would be useful would be the ability on each product added to define a shipping charge per product within the standard x-cart installation.

I.e When adding a product there would be a Postage/Shipping option to specify a price and then a destination to assign the shipping to. This could work by using the same principles when adding product variants. So you could assign different shipping costs based on location using drop downs and input boxes.

Postage Cost: [ бё2.00 ] Destination [ United Kingdom ]
Postage Cost: [ бё4.00 ] Destination [ Europe ]
Postage Cost: [ бё6.00 ] Destination [ USA ]

This could be at the bottom of "Add a Product" page and would sit very nicely.

The beauty of it is because shipping would only apply to that product. So other products could work on weight/per item etc if you wanted. This would work really well, say if you sell magazine subscriptions for example.

As magazines have a charge of say бё36.95 - you could set for that particular product free shipping in the UK - then charge бё35 shipping for Europe then say бё55 for the Rest of World. And if you sell alot of magazines or anything else where this shipping method needs to be applied - you can have different rates etc. - Fantastic!

Ben

Can anyone help me?

I was running X-cart before, no problems. But now I installed 4.1 RC and I cannot login using the default user/password. Followed the setup info in the install file, I even tried to use phpMYadmin to change to pass word to something new. admin, master, root, nothing. I cannot login no matter what... Any suggestions?

PS? the password is still encyrpted in MD5 right?

Update, the password in PHPmyadmin was 25 symbols long as. MD5 is usually 32 right? Hmmmm

Thank you

x-cart IMO needs to completely rework the control of letting people set the titles for their category, static pages, product detail pages.

and none of that concatenation junk.

Also why in the heck is the brad crumb trail linked to the title you set for your home page.

I had the same problem with my test install of RC1.

I registered a new account as a customer and then went into the DB (through PHPMyAdmin or NaviCat) and changed that account from a customer to an admin. I then logged into the admin area with that account.

That it means to put store in caching and as Xcart in Caching way is put?

"If you use data caching in your store, your store's data cache may be cached by the user's web browsers. As a result, the actual category data may not be displayed on the Customer front-end until the web browser refreshes its data cache.

Cache subcategory blocks: "
