Why is there a newer and different V4.4.1 in my helpdesk-files area? Are the amount of bugs pushing back the release of 4.4.2?

Okay.. but why no word on this recent 4.4.1 release? Is it TOTALLY up-to-date with all of the bug fixes so far?

I installed that mega-fix of 15 patch files (bug #38558 ), plus a few others, is this 4.4.1 better than that?

Is there going to be a patch for 4.4.1 to the (much improved?) 4.4.1? If so, when?

Actually, the newer X-Cart v.4.4.1 distribution available in the File Area (Date: Nov 25 10), does not include any bug-fixes.

We have been involved in a licensing dispute regarding some images being provided with the X-Cart software. As a result, we have had to replace the images in question with new ones in the X-Cart distribution. For more details please refer to the newsletter provided below.

I am sorry for possible confusion and inconvenience caused by this incident.

As for known bug fixes for v4.4.1, they will be included into the 4.4.1->4.4.2 upgrade package.

The new version 4.4.2 will be released at the end of December approximately, it will include all known bug fixes for v4.4.1 as well.

Dear Customer,

We have been involved in a licensing dispute regarding some images being provided with the X-Cart software. As a result, we have had to replace the images in question with new ones in the X-Cart distribution.

Please also replace the images in question in the X-Cart installation folder on your web-server(s). To do it please follow the instructions provided below. Please accept our sincere apologies for possible inconvenience caused.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Download live_help.jpg and contact_us.jpg from the "File area / X-Cart" section of your Qualiteam account (https://secure.qtmsoft.com/ [^]).

2) Use an FTP client to upload these files to the X-Cart installation folder on your server (i.e. ftp://yourhostname.com/xcart [^]) as specified below:

a) if you have X-Cart 4.3 or earlier upload live_help.jpg and contact_us.jpg to the following locations if exist:

- xcart/schemes/templates/artistictunes_business/images/custom/live_help.jpg
- xcart/schemes/templates/artistictunes_car_tires/images/custom/live_help.jpg
- xcart/schemes/templates/artistictunes_fragrances_and_makeup/images/custom/live_help.jpg
- xcart/schemes/templates/artistictunes_water_colour/images/custom/live_help.jpg
- xcart/schemes/templates/fashion_mosaic_blue/images/fashion_mosaic/contact_us.jpg
- xcart/schemes/templates/fashion_mosaic_green/images/fashion_mosaic/contact_us.jpg

b) if you have X-Cart 4.4 upload live_help.jpg and contact_us.jpg to the following locations if exist:

- xcart/skin/artistictunes_business/images/custom/live_help.jpg
- xcart/skin/artistictunes_car_tires/images/custom/live_help.jpg
- xcart/skin/artistictunes_fragrances_and_makeup/images/custom/live_help.jpg

3) Make sure the correct permissions (644) are set for the new files on the server.

I wanted to perform upgrade (4.4.0 -> 4.4.1) but there is no "Get upgrade pack" button in my "File area".

Most likely you have a secondary account here.

I am also waiting for 4.4.2 for the bug fixes. Any idea when it will be released, hopefully before Christmas.

Ditto. I do not feel comfortable taking my site live until the most pronounced bugs have been addressed.

The deadline was announced for Dec. 1st (approx.), will there be another announcement for a January release or is the release of 4.4.2 this month a reality?

Can't wait for 4.4.2 to release. I have been waiting for 4.0 and x-payment to work since June.

I Am trying out 4.4.1 today. At first glance it looks good well done Qualiteam.

Need to know what the main bugs are before deciding on using this version for the next store build.
