X-Cart 4.1.5 released

Is there something else needed for image verification besides just turning it on?

I'm testing 4.1.5 and have the option on, but there is no image to verify.

Image generator is showing set as 'default'. Is this correct?

I'm hosted with EWD Hosting. I just checked with Emerson and he says that GD Lib is installed on all of his servers. Still not seeing the image verification box.

I did notice that on the demo site, the image generator option is set to 'default' by a drop down box. On my site, i'm set to 'default', but it's a text box. I wonder if that difference is causing problems?

Do you have 4 options under the setting for "default" to show image verification on the various different pages?

I also have a drop down box for default although default is the only option to select.

I have 5 options there... All are checked but still don't display.

Yes 5 options (sorry I was going from memory). I don't think there is much else to check or update then.

It must have something to do with me having a text box instead of a drop down box for the 'default' option. This is just a test install before going live with the upgrade. I'll just wipe it out and install again and see what happens.

I think the problem is with the 7dana skin I am using. I just did 2 fresh installs. One with the X-Cart default skin, the other with the 7dana skin. The image verification worked with the X-Cart skin, but not with the 7dana skin.

The 7dana skin is as of 4.1.3, so it looks like it's not totally compatible with 4.1.5

I was going to suggest checking the skin out but it looks like you've already problem solved. Its a shame you have to go through so much for a simple issue, but we've all been there. Good luck.

I've had my share of good luck with the software with everything working really well for me. I'll have to do some file comparing and see if I can figure out what to change. If not, it'll be time to purchase a skin upgrade.
