Try doing some searches.

I am a Dreamweaver user. Try hooking up with some other front page users through the web search. Good Luck.

I recommend Dreamweaver also, as with Dreamweaver, maybe Frontpage works the same, when it has to do with TPL files you drag and drop them in in Dreamweaver.

Frontpage picks it up as a text file.

I think a nice addition would be a color picker with the ability to see how it affects a template before you actually save that template. What files are you saying are being picked up as a text file the .tpl files? If thats the case then if you think about it most of the stuff in the file is just gibberish to an editor. If you look through the css file most of the pieces inside of it are fairly well named and by playing around (just remember what you changed) you can mess with things and then reload the page and see what changed, this will work for most things and is also a method I have employed when trying to get a specific color combo to work right.

If frontpage picks it up as a text file, have you considered in Dragging and dropping it in Frontpages screen ? You never know, it might work.

On the other hand, I used to use Frontpage, but I strongly recommend Dreamwever, since I started to use it.. I'll say it this way: No Comparison IMHO.

Try http://www.bradsoft.com/index.asp - I use this to view the php page while changing the style sheet.

I use TopStyle myself, it is the BEST CSS editor out there.

Yah, creating all those buttons and repetitive graphics are a pain!

I've got a mod that uses the power of flash. What it does is that you can create any custom button, with any custom font, with any custom style you want (drop-shadows, borders, etc), and the only thing you need to do is pass on what text you want the button to say and it'll automatically generate. The file is less than 2K, and when you load it once, it's stored in the cache anyways. Perfect for getting rid of those ugly buttons, as well as generate new buttons on the fly. I've got the same setup for dialog boxes and menus too. PM me if you want more info.

Can I see an example of it in use, and possibly some screenshots?

Is there a cost involved with it, or is it free?
