not sure if I need to change these permissions or not

The others should report as OK

I think you need to set their permissions

Let me ask you, what "should" they be set to (permissions)? I don't want them to be wide open (777).

Well, no luck. I changed those permissions and got "ok," but still getting errors. Thanks anyway though.

I don't remember off hand... Check the online manual

Also, have you applied the sessions fix from X-Cart

If so, try setting your session type to 3 instead of 2
