Didn't work for me. I got it briefly working and yes, it does make the pages load a lot quicker. Didn't work with several standard x-cart add-ons and would have required extra money to make it work right. I finally gave up on it.

This is so true, I recently upgraded a default install through a couple of versions and its instant. As soon as you install a single mod you are in a world of manual hacking and pain.

I looked at the demo of SB but would have liked to have seen a website with images and thumbnails so its a bit more realistic.

Check out www.tias.com It is running the first revision of this. It has over 500,000 products and thousands of categories. They are extremely happy with it. Do note that it is a Hybrid cart. Part of it is OLD CGI, part of it is X-cart. So if you click on a product, you are NOT on X-cart. Just the categories on the left of the main mall.

You can also see it in use on our site. We use it as well. If you want to email us, I can see if there are other clients that are willing to let you see it on their site. Some clients like to stay private on what they have on their site.

no i have ALWAYS THE SAME problems.

the automatic update, doesn't work, if i edit a product or a category they are not updated automatically, i must rerun caching process manually every time i edit something, and i edit products a dozen time every day.

product caching process, is always a mystery, i cannot know if process ends correctly, since i don't see results also if i wait hours

this is the (not only your) problem:
All modules and installs are only guaranteed to work with default X-Cart software and settings.Any customization to the X-Cart store where the module is being installed could result in the module functioning improperly or additional custom services changes needed to adapt the module to the custom X-Cart software. Please contact us prior to purchase if you have any concerns about any piece of software working with your system.

maybe you demo site works great with your add-on, and nothing else, but live stores work differently

Did you contact X-cart about this since it was their function failing on their servers? We never heard back as to how that went. Unfortunately we can't fix that as I mentioned since it's their func_flush that is not working on their server for our module nor for things like order exporting, etc.

You can just have the cron set up and then you wouldn't have to worry about the func_flush.

We have quite a few people using it without issue though. See the previous post about X-cart's server issue. Once you have them fix the func_flush you should be good to go as far as I know from your ticket information.

trying to resolve my problems, i found ANOTHER big problem, not sure if t is only mine or general.

what happens to cached page if i delete the related product from database?

google send me people on pages of deleted products, they don't exist anymore in my database neither in categories and manufacturer page, but single cached page still exists.

these are 2 examples:
http://www.wnc2.biz/scitec-nutrition-anabol-x-90cps.html
http://www.wnc2.biz/offerta-natural-project-tirosil-stack-80cpr.html

these products don't exist anymore since a couple of months, but the cached pages still exist.

obviously if i try to add the product to cart i go to 404 page

PLEASE don't tell me this is related to the fund_flush issue

HOW can i resolve this NEW problem?
