I have a need for this but it isn't really a "phone order" mod. We sell in multiple venues outside of our online store and need all invoices etc. to generate orders through our X-Cart store to communicate with providers. Most often we have already received payment (from Amazon etc.) so we just need to process the order....

Unfortunately, I don't think I would pay 100-200 USD at the moment for such a mod as it is too feature rich. I prefer lower cost, less fature mods as the the over featured mods are more proprietray and less part of our store which is already setup.

I think X-Cart should simply integrate a "Manual" Order input page the same way that you can create a "Gift Certificate". That way it will flow in between current orders and just allow you to add items from a popup like the upsell module.. change qts. input shipping and if needed, payment details.

Having external mods that do this isn't conducive to the majority and most uses will be better off just having the minimal features that I mention. If you need more, then you probably need more than an extrenal phone order mod... you need a separate POS or ordering system. No one mod. could be as good as what is already available for low or minimal cost.

My two cents - X-cart, are you going to integrate a manual order input in 4.1.x? Thanks, Mike

Working on this and have a question for everyone interested in it.

How important to you guys is having "sales representatives"? Is it a must? a nice feature? not important?

If it's a must, would you rather assign existing Xcart logins to be able to be a sales representive or have that separate from x-cart table?

It is nice to have this feature. As someone posted on the previous posts: there is a demand on this.

Assigning existing x-cart login is probably easier. But I don't know if it is the best way to do it. One thing for sure is that we do not have them to have access to the x-cart admin pages!

With this sales rep feature, I wish we could specify the commission rate: if we set it 0%, then the sales rep will not see any commission page at all like this does not even exist - good for employees. If we set it anything other than 0%, then they can access commission earned page.

I'd say it's a good feature to have, but not a complete deal-breaker (as long as everything else works OK).

Count us in, I know quite a few clients who will be interested, especially if it's very streamlined and quick and doesnt need modding of x-cart.

if you are thinking about adding sales reps - think immediately about how to setup/calculate and report on their sales and comissions. Setting them up either separately from regular users or as a special class of users probably makes sense

I would use it if it was available.
