This upgrade has caused some MAJOR problem with MySQL after the upgrade. MySQL suddenly jumps up its memory to 99% on Windows when clicking on a category with products in it. Apparently this has also caused problems with our web hosting provider as well. Last time I tried to view a category on our remote server, there was not response from that point on. Nothing. We can't access ANY part of Xcart hosted at our web hosting provider.
I will have to contact them and have them terminate whatever process is running.

Upgraded okay here, apart from about 4 files .... which for some strange reason, patched okay, when i chose them manually (one by one) !

I cannot figure what could be causing the problem. It seems to revolve around the setting of sessions.
Ahh well, ignore my warning for now. Could be something that is my own fault. I will have to investigate and find out.

I've had issues with getting pages in the Admin area to load since upgrading =/ In particular, "Users" and "Language" are the affected areas I've noticed so far. Just reloads the page when I click on links in those sections.
I did have to manually edit some of the files that couldn't be patched, but did so accurately to my knowledge, and I went over it 3-4 times. It seems like an HTTP post/get request issue.. however that was modified in this upgrade. |

Well, I tracked down our problem. I am one of those Xcart users that decided to add on more categoryids to the products table (4 more). However, with the new $category_condition statement under the func_search_products() function in func.php, all 8 of our categorids are searched instead of the old 3.5.7 method of just searching the first categoryid. On our remote linux web host this can result in a slow down of up to 144 seconds to procress that one segment of code in the func_search_products() function.
However, on our Windows testing server....it just dies. The SQL satement is so overwhelming that all of the CPU cycles are used up by mysqld-nt.exe to the the point that there isn't enough processing power to gather the database records from the hard drive which simply ceases to spin but once every 60 or so seconds. So for those who did this modification to their Xcart, beware! I made the 'mistake' of correctly updating that $category_condition statement with our four additional categoryids. It is now my task to find a way to improve that section of code and/or the structure of the products table, or devolve our cart back to 3.5.7.

Well, problem somewhat solved. I went through and carefully optimized the structure of the Xcart database. Tough to do and still ensure that nothing is broken. Then I commented out the $category_condition statement and put the old 3.5.7 one in its place. Not as thorough, but at least our site is loading in a reasonable time now.
This is what I used, if anyone is wondering. Code:

My cart will not checkout after the upgrade.
[update] I did fresh full install and I have to say that it seems pretty buggy. |

Everyone please remember that this is not considered the "stable build".
I usually wait until all of the "keeners" have installed and there seems to be no major issues in the first few days. Then I know it might be ok to upgrade. |

GM, according to Xcart Tech the Xcart shopping cart is not fully compatible with Smart 2.6.2 yet. You may want to consider returning to 2.5.0.
Anybody have an idea where thse incompatibilities may lie?
