Default Edit Left Menu In Admin Page (5.2)
We are working on an x-cart multi-vendor license for a customer and would like the ability to edit (add and remove) a few lines from the left menu column in the admin area.

How do we do that?

Found one answer with editing default left menu items by commenting parts in classes/XLite/View/Menu/Admin/LeftMenu.php and then recompiling the store.

Is there an easier/different way to do so?

No, there is no other way to edit the menu.
By the way, I would advise to wrap such changes into a module in order not to have it overwritten during an upgrade.
