Hi Kevin,

Thank you for reporting this problem. It seems that you and Jeremy spotted the same issue. We are already working on this (we also plan to use CDN to deliver our javascript). I will get back to you on that soon.

Any updates on the use of CDN for delivering javascript?

Hi,

The new module packs will be available for download this week.

Btw, we've already set up CDN to deliver static page thumbnails (works on current CloudSearch versions).

Hi Nikita,

Just a couple of quick questions regarding cloudSearch please,

1. Any chance we will be able to enter custom search words? I have a brand name which it keeps trying to suggest an alternative word, despite the brand name being correct. however i understand this relates to unique spelling.

2. An update on if a customer presses enter then the same results are shown (not the default x-cart results)

Thanks

Hi,

1. Do you mean that you need a way to disable suggestions for some words?

2. Default X-Cart search have many settings and options which influence the final result and replicating all of this behavior on the CloudSearch platform is kind of a big task. I guess that the right way to start here is to have a beta version that could be tested by some volunteers. I can't give you an ETA on this now, but if you would kindly agree to beta-test this in future, it would help.

Apologies I should clarify - Currently if you press enter on the CloudSearch text field, you are taken to the default X-cart search results (which are not ideal) can we have it that if a user presses enter on the CloudSearch text field that are taken to a page that has a similar layout to the default x-cart results - but populated with the Cloudsearch results instead (as they are much more relevant)

I hope this clarifies the above.

Edit: Sorry more than happy to beta test some features!

OK, but we need some other users to vote on this before we start, we need to concentrate on features that are most useful for our audience. On the other hand, I'm sure that your specific case will best be covered by our custom development service, it will not be expensive.

Hi guys!

I would like to announce that from now on we serve our static assets off a CDN. As I mentioned in my recent message, we already deliver static page thumbnails from CDN, and now there's CloudSearch 1.2.2 which dowloads main javacript file from CDN. CS will not only load faster, it will not slow down your initial page load at all (because of asynchronous loading).

You can download module packs in your File area (I just uploaded them, so there may be a delay before they become be available) and also here: cloudsearch.x-cart.com/static/distrib/cloudsearch-xcart.tgz. You do not need to re-install the module in order to upgrade, just overwrite existing CloudSearch files (don't forget to make a backup), and clean up the cache.

Another improvement is Multicurrency support. CloudSearch 1.2.2 properly displays prices in different currencies.

The next X-Cart 4 version will receive this update as well.

I totally agree! Although the cloudsearch popup is exactly what we want the customers to see, the reality is that they frequently press "search" - and then get taken to x-cart default search results - which is, well, pretty bad (which is, the reason we invested in cloudsearch).

Cloudsearch should own search on the site.

Hi guys!

Here's an update to our statistics feature.

http://cdn.qualiteamsoftwar.netdna-cdn.com/images/stats_csv.png

- You can now scroll through up to 100 popular queries, and furthermore you can also export all your customers' search queries in CSV format.
- Colored bars are intended to give you more idea on the distribution of hit counts.

Your feedback is welcome.
