![]() Hi,
We are currently designing a store that sells items to people who firstly must be over 18 but also have a valid defence in law to purchase. We want to be able to have an option that when at checkout the purchaser can not pay until they have entered their membership number. But this would only be for a selection of items that sells on the website? Is this possible and can you help? Thanks |

![]() It is certainly possible, first you need to setup a "switch" that lets you designate which products belong to this special group. This can be an extra field, or a custom checkbox on the product page.
After the switch is in place, you can define custom templates that display on the product page when this is activated. At checkout, you will have to check the cart to see if it contains a "special" product or not. I would work on simply getting a message to display on the product page, that lets you know that this is a restricted product. That will be your first step.
